Free AI interview assistant
You do not need to pay to try a real-time AI interview copilot. The live demo on this site is free: it listens to your mic, transcribes the question, and suggests an answer from your resume and the job description — in your browser, with no account and no card.
What you get free
- Live transcription. Speak into your mic (Chrome or Edge on desktop) and watch the transcript appear as you talk.
- Real-time answers. Type an interview question — or let the mic hear one — and get a suggested answer grounded in the resume and job description you paste in.
- Context that matters. Nine modes, including Technical Interview, Sales, Recruiting, and Looking for Work, each shaping answers for that situation.
- Notes and summaries. End the session and get a summary, key points, and action items from the transcript — and download the transcript itself.
- No session cap, no account. Use it as often as you like. Nothing is stored on a server: your key lives in your browser's localStorage, and your resume and job description stay on your machine except for the text sent to the AI provider you chose.
How to try it in 3 minutes
- Get a free key. Google AI Studio gives you a free Gemini API key — no card required for the free tier.
- Open the demo. Go to the live demo, choose Gemini, paste your key, and press "Save keys". (OpenAI works too, if you already have a key.)
- Add your context. Paste the job description and your resume into the two boxes, pick a mode, and press "Start listening" — or just type an interview question and press "Ask".
That is the whole setup. If you would rather run fully offline, a local model through Ollama costs nothing and sends nothing to any provider — the desktop app supports it; the browser demo uses your key instead.
What needs a paid plan elsewhere
Free covers the copilot itself. The things that cost money, here and at other tools, are convenience and capacity:
- Hosted AI. If you do not want to manage keys, managed plans with a Natively-issued key start at $8 a month (500 AI requests, 200 minutes of speech-to-text).
- Pro desktop features. The full desktop app — custom modes with their own files, diagrams inside answers, live salary-negotiation coaching — comes with the Pro licence: $39 a year or $79 once, for life.
- Heavy usage. Higher managed tiers ($15–$35 a month) exist for people running many interviews a day. Most job seekers never need them.
- Your provider's usage. A free Gemini key covers ordinary interview practice; if you burn through a provider's free tier, that provider charges you — not us.
For the full price list, see pricing. To see how the free tier compares with the paid copilots, read the comparison with Final Round AI, Cluely, and Parakeet — most of them have no free live sessions at all. And if you are new to the idea, start with what an AI interview copilot is and the ethics note there.
A word on free trials elsewhere
"Free" at other interview tools often means one mock interview, or a free plan with live sessions switched off. Before you sign up anywhere, check exactly what the free tier lets you do during a live interview — that is the feature that matters, and it is the one most often paywalled.
